Reading a Leonard Cohen poem (an AudioBoo)
Posted on February 8, 2010 | 2 Comments

Tonight, I downloaded and played around with the AudioBoo Android app. It doesn’t work very well, unfortunately. However, I do like the idea quite a lot, so I decided to record one through the website, just for fun. In it, I’m reading “There Is a Moment” from Leonard Cohen’s lovely Book of Longing. I’ve also quoted part of the poem below:
There is a moment in every day when I kneel before the love I have for you. Then I remember that I am still that man. And I know that my life’s work is to be that man, who leans over a white tablet humbled in his constant and signifying love for you. It is eight twenty-seven in the evening. Once again the thought of you has rescued me from the puzzle of my indifference.
Such a sweetly beautiful poem.
AudioBoos are rather fun! Perhaps I’ll do another one sometime soon. Thanks for listening!
